About
Shannon is a multifaceted artist and printmaker based in Austin, Texas. Her work blends vibrant, hand-painted linocuts with monoprint techniques to craft tactile atmospheres full of color, texture, and narrative depth. Her imagery often reflects what she loves about Texas—wide skies, old farmsteads, vintage cars, scooters, and motorcycles—subjects infused with grit, nostalgia, and character.
Rooted in traditional relief printmaking yet shaped by her experience as a tattoo artist, Shannon draws from environments where she meets people from all walks of life. These exchanges continually expand her understanding of art, design, and cultural nuances, inspiring immersive storytelling that offers audiences playful yet reflective worlds.
As a founding member of Citizens for the Arts (CFA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit spotlighting artists in underserved communities, Shannon has served as acting chair and executive director, and held Secretary and Treasurer roles since 2012. She earned her B.F.A. in Communication Design from Pratt Institute (2006) and a certificate in Philanthropy and Fundraising from NYU (2011). Her exhibitions and residencies span Berlin, Lisbon, Quito, New York City, Germany, and Australia, demonstrating both the reach and resonance of her practice.
Outside the studio, Shannon enjoys nature walks, coffeeshops with wallpaper, libraries and bookstores, exchanging stories with clients, and soaking up the Texas sun—moments of everyday inspiration that flow back into her art and community work.
